Dr. Zahka has just completed a six year term serving as secretary to the Board of Registration in Optometry. He was appointed in 2010 by Governor Patrick. He was recommended for the position by the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and his peers.

Dr. Zahka is a founding member and current President of the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Vision Foundation (MassVision). MassVision is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about proper eye care, eye health, and the impact it has on your everyday lives. In addition, MassVision is dedicated to assuring that under-served populations receive proper eye care.
